Wycofać poparcie dla Marszu Niepodległości! Withdraw support for the Independence March!

Apel do przewodniczącego NSZZ „Solidarność” Piotra Dudy, Komisji Krajowej NSZZ „Solidarność” i wszystkich członkiń i członków związku

My niżej podpisani apelujemy, by NSZZ „Solidarność” wycofała swoje poparcie dla Marszu Niepodległości, który odbędzie się 11 listopada 2018 r w Warszawie.

Marsz ten nie jest zwykłym obchodem rocznicy odzyskania niepodległości. Jest on organizowany przez liderów skrajnie prawicowych ugrupowań. Wśród nich jest faszystowski Obóz Narodowo-Radykalny (ONR) – organizacja, która przyznaje się do kontynuowania tradycji swojego przedwojennego poprzednika. Przypomnijmy, że przedwojenny ONR nie krył swojego podziwu dla metod i polityki Adolfa Hitlera.

Obecnie widzimy wzrost poparcia dla skrajnej prawicy w różnych krajach świata. Wszędzie ruch związkowy przeciwstawia się tej groźnej tendencji. Przyłączenie się „Solidarności”
do marszu propagującego rasistowskie hasła, na który organizatorzy zapraszają przedstawicieli skrajnej prawicy (w tym otwarcie faszystowskiej) z wielu państw europejskich, byłoby tragiczną kompromitacją, poza wszystkim wywołując ogromny szok wśród związkowców na całym świecie.

W Polsce i na świecie NSZZ „Solidarność” kojarzy się ze wspaniałą walką pracowników o wolność i demokrację – gdy celem faszyzmu jest całkowite zniszczenie ruchu związkowego i wszelkiej demokracji.

Poparcie dla Marszu Niepodległości pomoże faszystom udawać, że są oni tylko normalną częścią sceny politycznej oraz przyczyni się do wzrostu ich wpływów. Jest to zagrożeniem dla całego ruchu związkowego, dla swobód demokratycznych.

Dlatego apelujemy o wycofanie poparcia dla Marszu Niepodległości.

Withdraw support for the Independence March!

Appeal to the president of NSZZ "Solidarność" Piotr Duda, the National Commission of NSZZ "Solidarność" and all members of the union

We, the undersigned, appeal to NSZZ "Solidarność" to withdraw its support for the Independence March, which will take place on November 11, 2018 in Warsaw.

This march is not an ordinary celebration of the anniversary of independence. It is organized by leaders of extreme right groups. Among them is the fascist National Radical Camp (ONR) - an organization that admits continuing the tradition of its pre-war predecessor. It is worth remembering that the pre-war ONR did not conceal its admiration for the methods and policies of Adolf Hitler.

We now see an increase in support for the extreme right in various countries around the world. Everywhere, the trade union movement is opposed to this dangerous tendency. It will be a tragic and shameful mistake if Solidarity joins a march propagating racist slogans, to which the organizers have invited representatives of the extreme right (including fascist) from many European countries. Apart from anything else it will be a huge shock for trade unionists all over the the world.

In Poland and around the world, NSZZ "Solidarność" is associated with the wonderful struggle of workers for freedom and democracy - while the goal of fascism is to completely destroy the trade union movement and all democracy.

Support for the Independence March will help the fascists pretend that they are only a normal part of the political scene and will contribute to the growth of their influence. This is a threat to the entire trade union movement, to democratic freedoms.

That is why we appeal for for the withdrawal of your support for the Independence March.
